Wow, how do you summarize 86 years? I think Dad lived his life to the fullest. He was always willing to try anything once and if he liked it, it never ended. George Edwin Scull was born April 12, 1937 in Wheatland Wyoming to Walter and Johanna Scull. He was the second of seven children, Priscilla Lucht(Robert), Lois Wilson(Ronald), Pauline Ergeson(Glen), Kathy Carver(Kenyon), Pamela Pence(Larry) and Richard(Geania). After his birth the family migrated to Parker Washington where he spent his childhood and attended school. Dad joined the Navy right out of high school and received an honorable discharge for his service to our great country. On June 26, 1959 he married Margaret Stewart and together over the next 17 years they raised 9 children. Tamra Cano(Silverio), Ronda Hager(Daniel), Carla Thorpe(Todd), Bonnie Winegar(Grant), Jessica Huth, Janis Trevino(Richard), George Jr, Wendy and Kevin(Roxanne). He could never stay in one place for very long so we moved around the state of Washington and then to Arlington Arizona, Wenden Arizona, Laurel Montana, Harden Montana, Park City Montana and then eventually made it back to Washington. After his divorce in 1976 he packed up and moved to Prairie City Oregon where he met and eventually married Anita Winegar. They had too little time together before Anita was in an accident that took her life. Shortly thereafter Dad moved back to Sunnyside Washington where he eventually met his last love while out partying and dancing, Bea Lones and over the next 27 years they spent their time doing what they loved most. Going to the sales yards, traveling and enjoying their friends and family or just watching TV together. Dad and Bea brought so many animals home from the sales yard. Aside from their horses they raised goats and chickens, however they also had a couple of llamas and have kept many cats and dogs fed over the years. His love of horses started at a very young age and continued throughout his life. Dads three R’s were riding, roping and rodeos and he never missed an opportunity to participate. Over the years he won so many buckles, bridles and saddles and displayed them proudly. His livelihood was always the great outdoors and doing what he loved most, horses, cattle and his trusty cow dogs. He looked forward to the cattle drives each year, and there were many. He recently got to go to Prairie City with Kevin to a cattle branding at Grant and Bonnies which he was very excited about. His weekends and off time were spent at ropings and taking his kids to their rodeo events or visiting friends and family. A deck of cards was the start of so many poker games. Dad never knew a stranger and made so many friends from far and wide over the years. He told so many stories and never forgot a persons name. He is survived by all of his children, 19 grandchildren and 19 with 1 more due Jan13 2024 great grandchildren and his sisters Pauline Ergeson, Kathy Carver(Kenyon) and Pamela Pence(Larry) and sister in law Geania Scull. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Priscilla Lucht and Lois Wilson, his brother Richard, granddaughter Audrianna Scull, son in laws Daniel Hager and Silverio Cano, brothers in law Robert Lucht and Ronald Wilson and Glen Ergeson .
