George Lacell was born in 1930 to Frank and Hattie Lacell in Everett, WA. His family moved to the valley in 1943. He graduated from Toppenish High School class of ’48. George married Arlene Leuning October 1948. He worked as a mechanic at Jack’s Garage in the 1950’s to the 70’s. George bought his own business “Lacell Garage & Car Wash”, owned and operated for 30 years.
George and Arlene were married 69 2/3 years. They enjoyed camping, traveling, hunting, muzzle loaders club, and volunteered for Citizens on Patrol.
George restored antique vehicles and enjoyed woodworking. He had a passion for gardening. He freely shared with family, friends, and neighbors. He worked hard and had a good life.
Greatly loved by his family and friends he left this world on July 26th 2018 to be with his Lord. George and Arlene are members of Parker Heights Presbyterian Church.
George is survived by his wife Arlene, daughters Lynn and Penny (Darrel), son Vernon (Lori), sister Mary (Tom), grandson Eric, granddaughter Holly, step granddaughters Amy and And, and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Neal.
