George Albert Ashlock, age 86, of Toppenish passed away in Yakima, WA on November 27, 2017. He was born in Laverne, Oklahoma to the late Dave and Bessie (Castler) Ashlock. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Les and Dave Ashlock; and his son George Ashlock.
George and his family moved to Washington when he was a young boy and he spent the rest of his life in Toppenish. After High School he joined the US Air Force and served his Country with honor. George enjoyed camping and fishing and took several trips in his Winnebago to visit his family in Maine. His favorite hobby was raising cattle on his 5-acre home in Toppenish. George was willing to help anyone that had a need and was very involved in his church. At Calvary Chapel he most recently served as the Secretary.
He is survived by his sons: Ernest Ashlock of Maine, and Lewis Ashlock (and wife Vicky) of Yakima; a daughter Gail Ross of Maine; sister Delma Wilcox; brothers Delbert and Vernon Ashlock; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Viewing will be 10am-12 noon on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Valley Hills Funeral Home (607 2nd Ave, Zillah) with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 noon at the Funeral Home also. Burial will follow the service at the Zillah Cemetery. Friends and family are invited for a Gathering after the burial at Lewis and Vicky Ashlock’s house.
