Gennie Lee Foresyth, 74, passed away on August 3, 2016 in Yakima, WA. She was born on August 9, 1941 in Arkansas to Charles and Clara Foresyth.
After retirement from Boise Cascade, Gennie worked as an AC 3 at Yakima Valley School in Selah, WA, where she was loved and respected by “her” residents. Often taking one or more home for the holidays.
Gennie was an avid quilter and gardener, always finding new designs and materials to work with. She was a gentle, kind person who will be remembered for her sense of humor, as well as her sense of adventure. A world traveler, she shopped through numerous cruises and visited many countries, taking side trips to casino hop!
Gennie is survived by siblings: Clara “Sis” Campbell, Charles “Sonny” (Betty) Foresyth, David (Linda) Foresyth, and Kenneth (Susan) Foresyth; her children: Bill (Alicia) Wickerham, Shirley (Candria) Wickerham, and Sue Rushing; grandchildren: Garrett (Emily), Dalton, Juan, Christopher (Danielle), Antony, Stormie (Andrew), Bradley, and Woodrow; great grandchildren: Isabella, Khristian, Anastasia, Tannek, and Pearl.
Gennie is preceded in death by her parents Charles Foresyth and Clara Jackson; stepfather, Woodrow Jackson; siblings: Robert Foresyth and Richard Foresyth; and grandson, Billy Wickerham II
Gennie will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in The Rose Garden at the Arboretum in Yakima, WA.
