Genevieve Yvonne Broncho Dotson “Tenechespa” was born January 19th 1941 in Parker, WA. Gen passed away peacefully on Sunday, 3/12/2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a proud member of the Yakama Nation also a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She passed on her beliefs, humor, stories, and life lessons. She loved going thrift shopping, gambling, beading, playing pool, bowling, and playing volleyball. She loved watching her stories, as well as listening to and watching Elvis sing and dance. She loved doing her beadwork and attributed her talent to her Shoshone-Bannock side.
Preceding her: Husband Steve L. Dotson, mother Mary Shawaway, brothers Simeon Peall and Ray E. Olney, sister Vera Yallup, sons Simeon E. Whitney (Kids: Shiela, Aerial and Brandy) and Roger M. Enick (Kids: Sherrie, Sharmen and Roger Jr).
She is survived by her sisters Arlene Olney and Jennie Honanie (Maynard) as well as her kids: Ron (Sokha) Enick (Kids: Kristi, Jonathan, Marcus, Colton, Madison and Kanim), Leon (Annie) Enick (Kids: Nicki, Shawnee, Alan and Image), Lisa (Lloyd) Enick-James (Kids: Sheree, Colby and Sunshine), Maryjo “Bambie” Whitney-Blevins (Virgil) (Kids: Cicily, Skylar, and Nick), Antionette “Antie” Combo (Kids: Trisha, Budd, Mandy, Genelle, Priscilla and Ronnie), Kevin (Jenny) Whitney (Kids: Victoria, Kaylee & Jacob). She cherished her 28 Grandchildren and 47 Great-grandchildren.
She had a long and fulfilling life with a lot of trials, triumphs, ups and downs. Whatever life threw at her she just prayed, smiled cried, and laughed her way through it. Towards the end her family took care of her and stayed by her side through heartache and illness, as well as the good times. The family helped her keep her late Husband Steve’s memory alive with pictures and good memories. She worked at Central Accounting and Headstart with the Yakama Nation. She cheered at many sports games for her kids, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She is now at peace and walks with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her loving family and friends who preceded her.
