Gayle Gamache

Gayle Marie Gamache, 62, passed away peacefully at her home September 26, 2019 after a long courageous 4 1/2 year battle with cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. Gayle was born on July 14, 1957 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington to Carl and Nadine Burmaster. The family relocated to Yakima in 1973 and Gayle graduated from Selah High School shortly thereafter. Gayle was involved in numerous occupations and ended her working days after 20 years at the Yakima County Treasurer’s Office. Gayle was preceded in death by her mother, Nadine Burmaster. She is survived by her four children, Jeremy (Stephanie), Jeffrey and Jennifer all from Yakima, and Jason (Tania) of Puyallup. She is also survived by her siblings John from Derrington, Larry from Yakima, Carla from Texas and her Father Carl of Yakima. Gayle is also survived by her Husband of many years, Larry Gamache of Yakima and numerous grandchildren. She followed her mother’s example and became a skilled quilter and blessed many family and friends with her beautiful, creative quilts and other handmade items. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 5, 2019 from 12- 3pm at the Terrace Heights Community Center.
