Gary Spencer

Gary Elton Spencer, 84 of Yakima, Wash., passed away on November 23, 2023, at his home with his wife and family by his side. Gary was born in Prosser, Wash., to Gordon and Adella Spencer.   Gary grew up in Yakima and worked at Cascade Natural Gas. He was in the Washington Army National Guard. Gary enjoyed traveling but most of all he loved riding his dirt bike. When Gary was not able to ride his dirt bike anymore, he enjoyed going to motorcycle races. Gary loved to attend his granddaughter's softball games. He loved spending time with his family and was so very proud of them all.   Gary is preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Adella Spencer as well as his father and mother-in-law John and Ethel Ackerman.   Those left to honor and cherish the life of Gary is his wife of 56 years Patricia; his daughter Lori; his son Kevin and wife Jo; son Keith and wife Mari; sister Elaine Ferri; sister Judy Bradford; his granddaughters Taylor and Ashlyn; his nephew Tracy and wife Renee; his sister in law Janice Bailes as well as many nieces and cousins.   A visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life being held at 11:00 am at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima, Washington following with Military Honors.   The family would like to thank Heartlinks for taking loving care of Gary and his family.
