Gary Sharp

Gary Lester Sharp was born in Prineville, Oregon on October 7, 1944 to Les and Virginia sharp. He was the middle of three children, older sister, Janet and younger brother Dennis "Scott". He grew up in Ellensburg, Washington. He played baseball and pole vaulted for Ellensburg High School. He met his wife, Patricia, they had two children, Margaret Louise and Gary Jr. He was a proud Grandpa to Darren, Janelle, Amanda, Avery, and Adam. He started working for Boise Cascade at the age of 19 in Ellensburg and later transferred to the Yakima facility. He worked there for over 40 years, retiring when the mill closed. He loved riding his various bikes, meeting the usual customers at Starbucks and tying his own flies to go fishing. He enjoyed playing golf when he could and fixing the neighborhood kids' bikes. He passed suddenly on October 27, 2022 after a medical procedure. He was laid to rest at West Hill Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held at Randall Park on May 20, 2023 at 1 PM.
