“Wim wii LiLict” Frankie Dawn Stevens-LaVanway
Was born on November 14, 1990 in Yakima, WA. She was a member of the Yakama Nation and resided in White Swan, WA. On July 21, 2018 she began her journey home.
Frankie loved the outdoors. She loved to hunt and gather traditional foods. She loved gathering heart shaped rocks and taking her evening cruises.
She had the biggest love for her children, these were her pride and joy. They are Micah Tristan, Cassius Lucas, and Lazuli Cupcake. She is survived by her parents Tamara & Jacob Strong, Dayson LaVanway, and Robert Olney Sr. Her best friend, Warren Spencer III. Her brothers and sisters Lateet Ann, Lisa Renee, William Ray, Robert Alan Jr., and many other adopted brothers and sisters, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded by her maternal grandparents Frankie & Reta Stevens, her brother’s Cyrus & Lakota Olney, her sister Jessica Carranza. Her step dad Warren Spencer Jr. and her un-named child.
Arrangements are dressing on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11 am, Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, WA. Then to the Wapato Longhouse for overnight services. Burial on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, after sunrise service to Satus Point Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
She is free in her wildness, she is a wanderess, a drop of water. She knows nothing of borders and cares nothing for rules or customs. ‘Time’ for her isn’t something to fight against. Her life flows clean , with passion, like fresh water.
