"Frank died today. Many will live longer, but few have enjoyed it more than he.” The only allergy Frank had was boredom.
Frank died on January 17, 2025, in Selah, Washington. Frank was born in Lewistown, Montana to Joseph and Lorena Jump on March 6, 1941. Frank was always a happy, good spirited upbeat, fun-loving guy right to the last. He was always willing to help others and very generous with his time and money. Frank started fixing his bike and the neighbor kids when very young and then started fixing cars, boats, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and anything that had a motor and made it run right and look good.
Frank and I got married in 1961. He worked a a service station in Yakima, in 1963 Frank and his wife moved to Seattle. He went to work with his brother Del at a service station. Soon after, Frank and Del bought the station. In 1966 Frank’s son Don was born. In 1968, Frank and his family wanted to leave the traffic of Seattle and so they moved to Selah. Frank got a job at Serveamation for a few years. Then he started driving 18 wheelers across county. He always loved driving trucks. He got tired of being gone so much.
Frank got a job with Yakima Cement driving a gravel dump truck until they closed. He got a job at Central Pre Mix driving a dump truck. Frank was shop steward then on the board of Teamster Local 524. At 50, Frank got his GED at 50. He was so very proud of the achievement. After retiring from Central Pre Mix in 2003, Frank and his wife traveled across Canada and to Alaska for a month. After that Frank and his wife would take trips to many different states. They like to go fishing, boating, motorcycling, water skiing, jet boating, snowmobiling and 4 wheeling.
Frank liked to go hunting with his brothers Bob and Ray as well as snowmobiling with Bob, Buster and friends. Frank belonged to the GTO car club. Frank and his wife traveled to many conventions to show off their 64 GTO. Frank was also a member of Cascade Snow drifter Snowmobile Club.
Frank is preceded in death by his father and mother Jospeh and Lorena Jump; his brothers Del Jump and Charlie Jump; his best friend, cousin and like a brother Richard Watkins.
