Fidel Cervantes

After a long battle with cancer, Fidel Ortega has gone to be with the Lord. He passed away July 26, 2016. He was 74 yrs. old. He was born in Jalisco, Mx. and was a long time resident of Mabton, WA. He was a hardworking man whom dedicated his time to his family. Fidel loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He loved playing pranks on them. He is proceded in death by his two brothers, one sister, and a daughter. He is survived in death by his loving and caring wife Carolina and his 11 children: Concepción Ortega, Marta Alicia Lopez, Olga Lila Parulkar, Jesus Ortega, Jose Ortega, Juan Carlos Ortega, Abel Ortega, Rosario Ortega, Primitivo Ortega, Ana Cristina Rodriguez, Fidel Antonio Ortega and his 24 grandchildren and two great-grand children. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and bringing laughter and joy into our lives. We will continue to share your stories and beautiful memories with your children, grandchildren and others to come. You will be missed immensely. Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday July 28, 2016 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Friday July 29, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mabtonfollowed by graveside services at the Mabton City Cemetery. A reception will be held after graveside services at the Learning Center in Mabton.
