Fernando Ornelas

Fernando “Shorty” Ornelas, age 66, of Granger, WA passed away in his home. Fernando was born in Ballinger, TX to Felicita Ornelas. Fernando and his family moved to the Yakima Valley in 1969. Shorty is survived by his three sons, Fernando Jr., Ralph and Michael Ornelas, among his numerous grandchildren, 6 sisters, 5 brothers, and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his grandson Maximus Ornelas, mother Felicita Ornelas, brother Frank “Pancho” Ornelas and long time girl friend Carol Torres. A special thank you to his sister Mary Ornelas of Granger, for caring for him in his last years of life. “Tio Shorty” will be miss. Viewing will take place at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah on Thursday, Jan. 23 from 12-5pm. Service will be on Friday, Jan. 24 at 10am at the Funeral Home.
