Errol Andy JR “Iksiks Winch”
Errol “Jay-R” Andy Jr met with the Creator on August 15, 2022 while at Yakima Memorial Hospital. JR was born March 30, 1979 to Earl Andy Sr. and Donna Henry.
JR was the baby of his three other brothers, Alden, Arthur, and Austin. JR loved to follow his brothers around and always carried his teddy bear. JR later graduated from Wapato High School, Class of 1998.
After graduating high school, JR followed his brother to Mount Pleasant, MI and later fell in love with Jennifer VanBuskirk. JR made a loving family and home. They had two sons together, Isaac and Benjamin. JR worked at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe, as a Table Games dealer. JR and his boys moved home in 2010 after losing Jen in a tragic accident.
After being home in Yakima, JR then met Kathy. Kathy and JR made a home for their boys. JR began work as a Table Games Dealer at Legends Casino. JR then began a career as Eye in the Sky “Little Eagle” for the Yakama Nation Gaming Commission. (His most recent employment). JR made lifelong friends from YNGC and he is already missed by them.
Some hobbies of JR included listening to music, very loud and proud. JR loved to watch movies, Loved watching Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, enjoyed to travel to other casinos to gamble including Muckleshoot and Wildhorse. JR loved to make road trips, going to Rimrock Lake for the day, travelled to Salt Lake City, and Seattle to the Space Needle, the docks, and the Aquarium. JR was a very hospitable person, always welcomed everyone into his home, provided a place to stay when needed. JR was also known for his BBQ, he would get carried away sometimes and it was always delicious. JR also enjoyed making chicken noodle soup and frybread. One thing about JR is his love for dogs, his baby “Coco”. His latest addition to his little family was “Honey”. JR was always a big-hearted person, had loves for his Family and Friends, always greeting them when he seen them. Jr knew how to have a good time with his Family and Friends.
JR was an Avid Seahawks fan, 12th Man. JR was able to take his father, sons, and brother to a playoffs game in 2014. JR was later able to attend a couple more games, VS. the Cowboys and 49er’s. JR also enjoyed NBA Basketball, loved the dreamteam of the early 2000’s Detroit Pistons. (Thus, his son’s name- Benjamin Wallace) JR also followed Kevin Durant of OKC.
JR is survived by his parents Earl Andy SR and Donna Henry. His siblings: Alden (Jessica) Andy, Arthur Andy, Austin Andy, Jonathon (Rose) Spino, Jennifer (George) Arthur, and Kachina (Steven II) Eli. His sons Isaac (Yisel) Andy, Benjamin (Wendy) Andy, grandbaby Ariel, Grandbaby on the way “Violet”. Significant Other Kathy Shilow. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, and Nieces.
JR is proceeded in death by both Maternal and Paternal grandparents, his wife Jennifer VanBuskirk, and an infant son Zane Ethan Andy.
The arrangements were as follows, Dressing on August 16, 2022 at Valley hills funeral Home in Wapato, WA. Overnight services at the Independent Shaker Church, and Burial on August 17, 2022 at the Methodist Cemetery in White Swan, WA.
