On Feb. 6, 2025, Ernest Woods passed in- to Eternal Life in heaven.
He was born on Jan. 19, 1939, to Everett and Nellie Woods. He had 2 siblings, and sister Dolly was born later. They were hard working, happy until their Dad died. Though broken, they pressed on, started going to church, and the family got saved! Ernest was 16 at the time.
In 1959, he started Bible College in Springfield, MO, where he met Karen Kennedy. They both graduated from BBC and were married in 1963.
Ernest was ordained in 1966, and began pastoring (youth pastor, then pastor).
Together Ernest and Karen started 2 church- es, 1 in Castleford, ID, and 1 in Moscow, ID, known as, White Pine Baptist.
Together they had 4 children, Howard, Jesse, Wynelle and Sarah.
The family moved to Wapato, WA, in 1980, where he pastored at Bible Baptist Church.
He resigned there af- ter almost 16 years, due to Karen's death.
He married Elma (Ellie) Scott in 1998 and "inherited" 2 adult children, Ben and Doreen. They worked together with Village Missions, and several churches until "Ellie's" death in 2012.
He returned to the Wapato area and for the rest of his life, he faithfully served and ministered to others (including his family).
He was a member of Yakama Valley Baptist in Harrah, WA and attend- ed WBBC Sun., and Thur. nights.
He worked diligently, cleaning at Pace Int.
He loved his family, God's family, others, and his job. Above all he loved Jesus.
He is survived by sister Dolly, sisters in law Margie, Marilyn (Jack), Linda (Steve) children Jesse, Wynelle (Robert) and Sarah, step children, Ben (Izzy), Doreen (Robert) ,14 grandkids (including step), numerous nieces, nephews and 2 great grandkids.
