Ernest Camacho

Ernest P. Camacho, 62, of Sunnyside, passed away on June 22, 2018. He was born December 5, 1955 in Bridgeport, Nebraska to John Camacho and Simona Pina. Ernest grew up in the Yakima Valley and graduated from Sunnyside High School. He loved shooting pool, fishing, woodworking, collecting, and traveling. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren and family. Ernest was always lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He always ensured everybody else was well taken care of before worrying about himself - even if it meant sharing his meal or taking the shirt off his back. Our father, husband, and best friend will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Maria de la Luz Vargas de Camacho; children, Hector and Simona Camacho of Sunnyside, WA; step mom, Hilda Camacho of Linden, WA; brother, Jesse Arriaga (Romana) of Florida; sister, Elsie Marin (Richard) of Ferndale, WA and granddaughters, Yamilah and Breiellen Camacho of Sunnyside, WA. Ernest is preceded in death by his father John Camacho, his mother Simona Camacho, and his brothers Joe and Freddie Camacho. Viewing and Holy Rosary will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah, WA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 29, 2018 at Saint Joseph Catholic Parish in Sunnyside, WA. Ernest will then be laid to rest at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
