Erik Eduardo Barrera Gama, 32, of Union Gap died Friday near Wiley City.
Mr. Barrera was born in Tamazula, Jalisco, Mexico. He lived in Union Gap the last five years. He was an irrigation technician.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Guadalupe Madrigal Marin of Union Gap; two sons, Erik Barrera Alvarez of Wapato and Pablo Barrera Madrigal of Union Gap; a daughter, Luz Emeria Barrera Madrigal of Union Gap; his mother, Luz Maria Gama Anaya of Mexico; eight brothers, Anarbol Barrera, Juan Pablo Barrera, Clemente Barrera and Luis Barrera, all of Mexico, Carlos Barrera, Norberto Barrera, Mauricio Barrera, all of Yakima, and Jose Barrera of Union Gap; and three sisters, Adela Ramirez of Union Gap and Mayra Barrera and Mireya Barrera, both of Mexico.
Visitation will be offered from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima with recitation of the Rosary to be held at 6:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Yakima. Burial will take place in Mexico.
