Enriqueta Knoeb

Enriqueta C Knoeb “Rita,” 89, of Wapato, WA passed away June 25, 2018 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 15, 1928 in Gallup, New Mexico to Lawrence Castillo and Luciana Contreras. Enriqueta married the love of her life Roy Knoeb in 1947. She was a homemaker and enjoyed yard sales; she loved to collect bears, babysitting her grandkids and great grandkids until she was no longer able to. She is survived by her 6 children, Virginia Ashby, Susie (Martin) Estrada, Jeannie (Donald) Espinoza, Nellie (Andy) Ozuna all of Wapato, Rosie Corona from Toppenish and Roy Knoeb Jr. from Yakima, her 23 grandkids, 51 great grandkids and 16 great-great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Enriqueta was preceded by her sweetheart, Roy Knoeb, daughter Mary Lou Chavez, an infant daughter, her parents, 2 son in laws, 3 sisters and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, WA. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, June 3, 2018, 10 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato, WA with burial to follow at the Reservation Community Memorial Park in Wapato, WA.
