A loving husband, father and grandfather. Tony was born to Encarnacion Sr. and Virginia Coronado on September 1, 1958, in Tempe, Arizona. In his young years the family moved and made Sunnyside their home. On October 22, 1977, he married his wife of 46 years Bonnie Coronado (Burks). Together they had 2 children Steve and Gina.
Dad worked for Washington Beef as a maintenance mechanic for 25 years. He enjoyed his job, but he couldn’t wait to retire. He retired in September of 2023. He enjoyed spending his time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed BBQ’s, an “occasional” bud light, visits to Blue Moon and some puff, puff, pass. He also loved buying classic cars and attending car shows. He never had a shortage of classic cars and trucks. He obtained a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and loved the art. In his early 20’s Tony played in a band with his cousin and friends. His love for music never left. You would always see Tony with a beer in one hand and a microphone in the other singing Margaritaville. Later in life he enjoyed singing and playing guitar with his granddaughter Stephanie.
There was never a dull moment when hanging out with Tony and Bonnie. Evenings were full of laughs, dancing and always involved playful banter to anyone who was around.
He loved his son and daughter dearly. He was proud of his sons’ dedication and love for his family and his daughters’ love for God and her accomplishment in becoming a minister.
Tony is survived by his devoted wife Bonnie, his 2 children Steve and wife Michelle and Regina and husband Javier: by his 8 grandchildren Cecilia, Stephanie, Mikaela, Maya, Diego, Steven (Tyler), Josiah and Alysia, his great-grandson Kairo and a 2nd great-grandchild on the way. He enjoyed and loved his grandchildren very much. He is also survived by his mother Virginia Coronado, his brother Oscar Coronado, his sisters Rose Coronado, Peggy Coronado and Deborah Coronado as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Regina Gonzalez, who he spoke very highly of, his father Encarnacion Coronado and his nephew Bobby Ray Garcia.
Dad will be very missed by us all. How will we ever move on without you. You were the rock to our foundation. We will love you forever. Until we meet again Chon.
