Elva Church

Elva Lee (Robertson) Church, 86, of Yakima passed away on June 18, 2013 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. She was born to Henry Edgar Robertson and Viola Cordelia Ballard on April 6, 1927 in Elmore City, OK. Elva was married to William Riley Church in 1946. She lived in Ellensburg for over 30 years and worked in food processing and as a bartender for the Ellensburg Eagles Lodge for over 15 years before moving to the Yakima Valley in the 1980s. She enjoyed reading her Kindle, working jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and eating three square meals a day. Elva had a great love for her family. Elva is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Church of Yakima; sons, Joseph (Marilee) Church of Yakima and Ed (Midge) Church of Pe Ell; brother, Charles (Jesse) Robertson of Texas; and grandchildren, Anna Fazzari, Rebecca (Chris) Werner, Elizabeth Church, Chris Ramacher, Julie Dinini, and Susan Phipps. She was preceded in death by her husband, William and her daughter, Patsy. At Elva’s request, no services will be held.
