Elton A. Hibbard was taken home on April 15, 2023. He was born in Burns, Oregon on December 24, 1934 to Lyle W. and Georgie A. Hibbard. He was the eldest child. He was joined by sisters Linda Arlene, and Kathy Rae. A brother, Fred passed away as an infant. In 1954 the family moved from Burns to Sunnyside, WA where Lyle started a bee pollination business. A few years later Elton joined Lyle in the business and continued there until his retirement. On October 4, 1957 he married Charlotte Shafer. Together they raised 2 boys, LeRoy and Robert. Charlotte passed away in 1998. He continued to make his home in Grandview. •He enjoyed woodworking, and other art projects. He was an avid color book artist. In younger years, he enjoyed motorcycle riding and then snowmobiling. He also enjoyed antique tractors and would often talk about the tractor drives he would go on. He participated in several parades around the valley. Elton is survived by his sons, LeRoy (Patty) Hibbard, Robert (Denise) Hibbard, sisters Arlene Massey, and Kathy (Marty) Charvet. His grandsons Christopher, Bryan, and Michael Hibbard, Nick Ward, (Jeanine) Scott Ward. Great Grandchildren Damon Hibbard, Phoebe Hibbard, Sydney Ward, Jackson Ward, Brayden Ward, and Ella Ward One of the fondest memories for Elton was the time he spent with Iri Grove rebuilding the Grandview Church of God, which he attended for several years.
