Elodia Guzmán Silva, una mujer devota de fe y fuerza inquebrantable, falleció pacíficamente a la edad de 89 años el 19 de octubre de 2024, rodeada de su amorosa familia. Nació el 20 de mayo de 1935 en un pequeño pueblo del municipio de Tumbiscatio en Michoacán, México. Elodia se mudó a Othello, estado de Washington, en 1970, donde pasó décadas trabajando incansablemente en los campos agrícolas, un testimonio de su resistencia y dedicación. Eventualmente, se mudó a Wapato, WA en 1991 para estar más cerca de su familia. A pesar del arduo trabajo, su espíritu siempre estuvo arraigado en el amor, la humildad y una creencia inquebrantable en Jesucristo. Su fe fue su guía y consuelo a través de los desafíos de la vida, y compartió esa luz con todas las personas con las que se encontró. Elodia Guzman Silva, a devoted woman of faith and unwavering strength, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on October 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 20, 1935, in a small village in the municipality of Tumbiscatio in Michoacan, Mexico. Elodia moved to Othello, Washington state in 1970, where she spent decades working tirelessly in the agricultural fields, a testament to her resilience and dedication. Eventually, she moved to Wapato, WA in 1991 to be closer to her family. Despite the hard labor, her spirit was always rooted in love, humility, and an unshakable belief in Jesus Christ. Her faith was her guide and comfort through life's challenges, and she shared that light with everyone she encountered. Elodia’s home was a sanctuary for her nieces, nephews, and neighbors, where she would offer healing services like massages, herbs, teas, and home remedies. She attended church faithfully, her heart full of gratitude, and she often shared her favorite scripture with her loved ones. In 2021, she moved to Arcade Medical Resort of Parkside in Union Gap, an assisted living facility where she received excellent care and attention. Her legacy of hard work, generosity, and deep devotion to God will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Elodia Guzman Silva is survived by her two sisters, Carolina Silva, and Eudora Silva, and countless nieces, nephews, and a community that will miss her dearly.
