Elmer Walker

ELMER RAY WALKER E. Ray Walker born August 24, 1934 in Sayre, Ok left the dust bowl came to beautiful Yakima Valley. Attended Yakima High school, graduated in 1952. Ray took over his dad's Apple Farm in 1952 - 2011 and also worked 1960-1965 for Safeway then started local trucking, 1965 - 1991. Ray met his wife in Loveland,CO in 1959, married in 1960 until present. Ray and MaryAnn were active in West Valley Nazarene, Stone Church Sunday School and also helped at Central Assembly from 2002 until they slowed down and no longer could. Our hope for the future is Jesus and his message of Redemption. Ray is preceded in death by his mother Ethyl May Walker, father Dolphus Brooke Walker, brothers R. B. Ralph Benjamin Walker, Oliver Walker, Delbert Walker, Melvin Walker and Mickey Walker and sister, Geneva Henderson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Walker, nephews, Danny Stetler, Mike Roehl, Russ Roehl, Matthew Roehl, Randy Roehl, Scott, Roehl, Phillip Walker, Dean Walker, David Walker, Gene Walker and also nieces, Dolores Deihl, Phyllis Dunn, Diane Walker, Dale Walker, Gail Walker, Shar Brown, Ruth Ann Walker and Angie Mitchell. A viewing will be held Thursday 09/07/23 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima from 10am-5pm. Funeral Service will be Friday 09/08/23 starting at 10am at Valley Hills Yakima, then we will head to his final resting place at Tahoma Cemetery.
