Ellouise Schaefer

Ellouise Gwendolyn Schaefer passed from this world to eternity with Jesus on April 20, 2017. Ellouise was born to Chester and Pearl McLean on September 4, 1917. She was raised mainly in Connell, Washington where she later met and married Gilbert Schaefer on June 10th, 1938. Together they had two children, Theresa Ann Evans and Robert Noel Schaefer. During their marriage they lived in Spokane and Ellensburg and later Zillah, Washington. Ellouise was involved in the Eastern Star which she became a member in 1938. She was a past patron and also was involved in community projects throughout her life. Ellouise was a faithful member in the Baptist Church. Her love of life was shown to all in her gardening and cooking. She was always giving to others around her. She loved to travel and did a lot with the Good Sam’s Club. in 2006 she moved to Texas with her daughter Teresa Ann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Schaefer and other siblings. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Theresa Ann; and her son, Robert Schaefer; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 2-4pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 2:30pm at Fairmount Memorial Gardens in Spokane, Washington. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
