Elden Eugene Grove was born on April 22, 1934 and left this world into the arms of Jesus at age 88 on April 30, 2022.
Elden is survived by his two children, Angela Plessner and Joseph Grove. He is also survived by his Grandchildren Samantha Vagen, Charles Harmon, Shannon Stevens and Gabriel Grove, as well as several Great-Grandchildren and by the mother of his children, Anita.
He was a truck driver a big part of his life, but his life changed in 1983 when he became saved and married Winifred Roosendaal. Together they worked as owners and managers of the Gables Motel in Union Gap, Washington.
They were very active in their faith in God. Elden shared God’s love at various places throughout the Valley, often conducting services at the Union Gospel Mission and the Calvary Mission, as well as in the chapel at the Gables Motel.
Elden was preceded in death by his parents, Rollin and Amelia Grove and his one brother, Raymond, and his two sisters, Arlene and Nila, as well as by his wife of 27 years, Winifred, who passed away in 2010. Elden missed her greatly and spoke of her often. They are now together again in Heaven.
A special thank you to Danielle Rangel, his caregiver for many years. Danielle was so good to Elden and he truly appreciated having her to help him.
The funeral service for Elden will be held on Wednesday, May 11. Viewing will be held from 9 am-Noon at Valley Hills Funeral Home, 2600 Business Lane.
