It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Elaine (Cawley) Madison, who left us at the age of 86 on July 16, 2025, in Yakima, Washington.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Wiley Union Church, 2711 Wiley Road. Elaine was born on January 24, 1939, in Richland, Washington, to Linda and William Cawley.
She was one of nine children and carried the values of a large, loving family throughout her life. Elaine dedicated over 25 years of her career to Snokist Growers and Cannery, retiring at the age of 62. She also lovingly embraced the role of a mother to Christina Lee Madison, whom she raised from a young age and cherished as her own daughter.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved children, Linda Lee Madison and Kenneth Lee Madison.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Kenneth Robert Madison; her children, Ron Lee Brock (Treasa) and Tony Lee Madison (Jerelyn); 13 grandchildren—Brent, Sheena, Macy, Amanda, Chelsea, Hannah, Didi, Christina, Christopher, Brianna, Dahlton, Denver, and Tayt; and 14 great-grandchildren—Alexander, Samuel, Lilly, Ember, Leo, Bennett, Rhett, Magnolia, Leira, Mazie, Austin, Alissa, Milo, and Malcolm. Elaine will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love for her family and generous spirit.
Whether offering life advice, spiritual guidance, or simply a listening ear, she was always present when needed. Her kind heart, creativity, and deep joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren will be treasured forever.
She touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and love.
