Douglas Aurie Creach
December 10th, 1954 – August 22nd, 2024
After a lengthy battle with his health and lots of prayers, our warrior, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Douglas Aurie Creach was born in Sutherlin, OR December 10th, 1954 and was raised in the Yakima Valley. He graduated from Wapato High School with the class of 1973, where he was involved with FFA. He married the love of his life, Cindy Renslo on July 21st, 1979 and they were blessed with three sons. Doug worked in the agricultural industry working for C. M. Holtzinger for 38 years, alongside his parents, brothers, and sister. He later transitioned to petroleum sales with Bleyhl’s Farm Service until he retired in 2019. During these years he lived through out the Yakima Valley and later moved to the Tri-Cities.
Doug was passionate about staying involved with his sons and their many, varied activities, he loved his grandchildren deeply, was proud of his heritage, and loved spending time with immediate and extended family any chance he could. He had many other passions, such as, playing his guitar, listening to music, watching western movies (he memorized Jeremiah Johnson), keeping up with sports, discussions of faith, imparting wisdom, family camping trips, hunting, and lots of fishing.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cindy, as well as his sons, Travis (Sally) Creach, Gavin (Victoria) Creach, Dustin (Sarah) Creach, eight grandchildren, Katie, Tyler, Alice, Ava, Ian, Emery, Eamon, and Liev, sister Melody (Andy) Roy and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Julie Creach, brothers, Darrell and Danny Creach, and niece Tara Creach.
A viewing will be held September 7th from 10am-12pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home, graveside service at 1 PM at Zillah Cemetery, and please join us immediately after a Celebration of Life at the Zillah Civic Center.
