Doris Ella Lewis
God has called for an angel on August 19, 2020.
Doris was born in Goldendale, Washington on September 17, 1966, to Christina and Reginald Sergeant Jr. As an infant her parents became Ernest and Emma Lewis of Toppenish Washington.
Doris attended School in Toppenish until Junior High, then she attended YN Tribal School. Later after she earned her GED.
She met John Muzzy Oats in September of 1981 and later married in February 16, 1991, at the 1910 Shaker Church in White Swan Washington.
Doris was an avid patron of all casinos, she was also active in her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events as she was their #1 FAN! She loved the Seahawks, Ravens, Seattle Mariners baseball as well as the Atlanta Braves. She was also a pool shark and dart player.
Doris is preceded in death by her infant child, parents; Christine and Reginald Sergeant and Ernest and Emma Lewis, siblings; the late Danita Sergeant, Tom Cody Ike, Alvin Miller and Kelley Sampson. She is survived by her Aunt Anna Mae Johns, husband John Oats, former companion Darrell Arthur Sr., current companion Rio Talpocken, her siblings; Athena Sergeant, Jotina Garcia, Valena Sergeant, Rodney Barney, Richard Lewis, Julie Lewis, Alicia (Alirae) Hernandez, Naomi Yallup, Caroline James, Alyssa Jackson, her children; Erica Oats, Ernest Oats, Aviyana Arthur, Darrell Arthur Jr., Mathew Arthur, Elsie Arthur, Devon, Joshua, Jonathan and Roman Talpocken and 24 grandchildren. Services will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home Wapato Chapel on Saturday August 22, 2020 at 10am with funeral procession following to 1910 Shaker Church Cemetery at 11am.
