Donna Lee Seekins (Mama)

Donna Lee Seekins (Mama) Went to be with Jesus on July 28th 2025 after years of health issues where she showed nothing but strength and courage to survive, Donna was born to Ava & Louis Bowman on May 14th 1948 in California. In 1967 she met the love of her life & best friend Harold (Bubba) Seekins. 

Only dating 4 months they knew they were soulmates and married Dec. 6th 1967 later welcoming their two amazing daughters Kathi & Kerri. They moved to Yakima Washington in 1972. 

Where Donna went on to work for the answering service, Ponderosa, and Advanced Automotive. Donna had a love for flowers, plants, frogs, and knick knacks of all sorts. Later she was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Ashleigh Cassie, & Zach. But to her they were her Pookie, Chip, and Fuzzy. Being a grandmother was one of her absolute favorite titles in life. But then she was blessed with the next generation of Great Grandchildren she adored so very much Sheldon, Kailey, Brooklynn, Karter, Skyelar & Tahner. 

Being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother was the highlight of her life. And nobody could ever compare to her babies. In 2024, she gained the title of great great grandma and with nothing but pride welcomed Saydee into the family. Mama was one of the kindest souls you could ever encounter with a touch of sassiness. She knew no strangers, she struck up conversations with anyone that would talk back. 

She was nothing short of amazing and would give the shirt off her back for the ones she loved without hesitation. Our lives will never be the same and we miss her terribly But to know Mama was a blessing. She is proceeded in death by her daughter Katherine Seekins, her parents Ava & Louis Bowman, her in laws Harold Sr. & Sarah Seekins, brother Samuel Bowman, and her precious great grandbabies Tahner Blayne & Angel Dawn. As well as 2 Brother n laws Paul Seekins & Ron Warner Sr. While we will forever miss her here on this earth, its without a doubt she is finally pain free and running to hug her loved ones she has missed so very much. 

Mama is survived by the love of her life and husband of 57 years Harold Seekins Jr. her youngest daughter she loved very much Kerri Seekins, her Grandchildren that she loved with all she had Ashleigh (Joey) Ruiz, Cassandra Seekins, & Zach (Karlie) Heintz, Her great-grandchildren that meant the world to her Sheldon (Kiele) Seekins-Lakey, Karter Ruiz, Kailey Clayton, Brooklynn Seekins, Skyelar Heintz, Jeremiah Garza and her great-great-granddaughter Saydee Mae that always brought a smile to her face. Her sisters Susie (Don) Knowlton, & Annie Warner. Sister n laws Margaret (Ken) Berry, Tommy (Lisa) Seekins & Julie Seekins. Numerous nieces and nephews she cared deeply about.

 And her honorary Son Monte Jorgensen who she loved as her own. We want to also extend a heartfelt thank you to Patsor Terry Disnmore for years of showing up and being there for Mama. Services will be held at Wiley Union Church on Friday August 8th at 12pm with graveside services to follow at West Hills Memorial Park then back to Wiley Union for reception and sharing memories of Mama just as she would have wanted. We ask that nobody wears black. If you knew Mama you knew her love for bright colors so please do not weark black we ask that you wear bright colors and lets make her smile 1 more time..
