Donna Broyles

Donna Mae Broyles passed away on September 19, 2023 at 3:06 am peacefully at home in Wapato, WA, surrounded by her family. She was born in Kansas City Missouri on March 4, 1932 to Ollie and Theodore Phelps. She married Jacob Arthur Broyles on April 28, 1951. Her life was lived serving others with an overflow of love and compassion. Donna was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, farmer, caregiver, homemaker and a friend to all. Donna enjoyed serving her community throughout her life. She had a passion for children and served with her local churches in starting bus ministries with her husband Jacob; was passionate about Vacation Bible School, and seeing people come to Jesus. Donna adored her grandchildren and was more than ready to tell anyone about how proud she was of each one of them. Becoming a great-grandmother was a highlight of her life. Donna was an active member at her home church, Harrah Assembly of God, until her health declined and made that difficult. However, she still ministered and loved people from her home until the very end. Donna is survived by siblings Leslie Phelps, Clarine Hoppes, Theodore Phelps, George Phelps; her 3 children, Kenneth Broyles (Cynthia), Patricia McGarity (Gene) and Ronald Broyles; grandchildren April Bankord (Douglas), Michael Broyles (Jennifer), Jeffrey McGarity (Erika), Jonathan Broyles (Carrie), James McGarity, Kimberly Roman (David), Heather Daigle (Ray); 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; and countless foster and respite children. Gone before her, Jacob Broyles (husband), Dorothy Clement (sibling), Shirley Makus (sibling) Jennifer McGarity (grandchild), Erin Broyles (grandchild). Service details below.
