Donald Steinmetz

Our father, Donald Duane (Duke) Steinmetz passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at Memorial Hospital. He was born August 25, 1935 in Hardin, Montana. He was a very unique and strong man. He is survived by his children, daughter Shirley (Rod) Treece of Toppenish, son Don (Anne) Steinmetz of Mukilteo, WA, son Micheal Steinmetz of Cave Creek, AZ, daughter Dianna (Jeff) Miles of Zillah, former wife Elizabeth Steinmetz of Yakima, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister Linda (Steinmetz) Robinson of Yakima, and brother Dick (Beverly) Steinmetz of Yakima. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alec and Kathryn Steinmetz, and sister Geraldine (Dolly) Huylar. Thank you Bob, V.F.W. and American Legion for helping with our father’s memorial and thank you neighbor Bob for caring for our father. A memorial will be held Dec. 28th at 3:00 PM at the American Legion, Yakima, WA, potluck to follow.
