Donald Orville Gragert, 80, of Yakima died Wednesday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Gragert was born in Hastings, Neb., and served in the Air Force and Army. He had lived in Yakima for the past year. Before that he lived in Vancouver, Wash., where he worked as a meat packer/butcher for Armour Meats for 27 years.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Gragert of Yakima; five sons, Rob Apperson of Yakima, David Apperson of Texas, Stan Apperson of Longview, Ralph Apperson of Bend, Ore., and Jack Apperson of Terrebonne, Ore.; two daughters, Doni Gragert of Nikiski, Alaska, and Patty Cordovia of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Bill Gragert of Woodburn, Ore.; two sisters, Arlene Aalvik of White Salmon and Jane Zeeb of Turner, Ore.; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
No services will be held. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home of Yakima.
