Donald Chamberlain

Donald Chamberlain, a wonderful and loving husband and father, passed away on September 19, 2016 in Yakima, Washington. Don is survived by his wife Hope, sons Benjamin (Elizabeth) and Eric, and his brother Jim (Anne). Don was preceded in death by his brother Larry. Don was born in 1933 in Wenatchee to Howard and Honor Chamberlain. He grew up on the family orchard and graduated from Cashmere High School in 1951. He attended Wenatchee Junior College and then served in the Army. Don was a long time employee of Cascade Natural Gas, retiring from the company in 1998. Don married Hope Schmidt in 1959. They had a loving marriage of 57 years. They created a happy home full of jazz music, wonderful cooking and baking, and vintage cars to ride. Don was an active and involved member of the Kaiser Frazer Owner’s Club and in July was able to attend their National Convention in Illinois. Everyone in Don’s world experienced his kindness and generosity, and enjoyed his delicious biscotti. Don’s family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during his passing. A Celebration of Life for Don will be held at a future date.
