Dixie Ardean Crawford, born February 11, 1935, peacefully passed away on May 7,
2025, at the age of 90. She was a beloved mother, sister, and friend, whose warmth,
creativity, and love of life touched everyone she knew.
Dixie was known for her appreciation of artful objects, especially her cherished
Delftware and items rich with history. An avid lover of western movies, country music,
and playing the guitar, she brought joy and entertainment to her family and friends alike.
Her passion for music and storytelling created countless treasured memories.
She is survived by Debra (Rocky) Weible of Union Gap, son-in-law Clyde Buechler of
Zillah, 11 grandkids, 17 great grandkids and 3 great great grandkids. Along with two
sisters Donna Lyall of Grandview and Francis (Jerry) Hutchinson of Grandview. She
was proceeded in death by her husband Marvin Crawford, son Robert Crawford and
daughter Terri Buechler, her mother and father along with 6 brothers and 1 sister.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Valley
Hills Funeral Home, located at 218 West Third Street, Wapato, WA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Tahoma
Cemetery, 1802 Tahoma Ave, Yakima, WA. Following the service, a luncheon will be
hosted at the Yakima VFW Post 118 5th Avenue, Yakima, WA, beginning at 12:00 p.m.,
where friends and family can gather to celebrate her life and legacy.
Dixie’s spirit, love, and laughter will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
