Dellaphine Thomas

On May 25, 2017 our dear mother Dellaphine Fay Thomas went to heaven. She was born October 28, 1919 in White Cloud, Kansas to William Elmer and Pearl Bertha Richardson. In 1940 she married our father Oris Thomas. They had 10 children together. In 1958 they moved to Ellensburg, Washington and later to Yakima. Mom was the hardest working person we’ve ever known. She was the glue that held our family together- thanks for always being there for us Mom. She was a great cook and loved to bake. We think she’s probably up there making her famous homemade bread and cinnamon rolls for everybody. What a wonderful Mother she was. Her favorite times were when the family could all get together. We miss you Mom. She was preceded in death by her husband Oris Sr. in 1982; her son Harley Thomas in February 2016; and her son Oris Jr. in November 2016. She is survived by her son William (Michelle); daughter Dianna (Roy); sons: Anson, Phillip and Donald (Trudy); daughters: Marilynn, Betty and Lois; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Calvary Cemetery (1405 S. 24th Ave., Yakima).
