Della Meyer of Zillah passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 100.
She was born in Toppenish on October 17, 1925, to George and Martha (Moorhead) Logan. The family moved to the Yakima Valley in 1926 to farm. She married Elmer Martin in 1944, and they lived in Toppenish before moving to Wapato. Elmer was a farmer, and Della was a dedicated mother and homemaker. They raised four daughters together.
Later in life, she was able to take a memorable trip to Ireland, the birthplace of her mother, to visit family. After Elmer's death in 1975, she remarried Richard (Dick) Meyer, who passed away in 2004.
Della was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on November 16, 1957. She dearly loved sharing the Bible's hope for the future on a paradise earth, and her daughters grew up benefiting from the Bible's principles. She made many lasting friendships through Bible discussions.
She is survived by her daughters: Judy (Tim) Elder and Darlene (Ron) Pullman, both of Zillah, and Shelley Baisch of Yakima. She is also survived by her grandson Corey (Brita) Kuhnke, whom she and Dick lovingly raised as a son after the death of her daughter Kathy. Her step-children are Rich (Marsha) Meyer, Vicki Long, and Sheri Kirby. Her grandchildren include Kelli, Marty, Chris, Michele, Aaron, Andy, Brent, Brandon, Sumer, Dustin, Colton, and Clayton.
Della was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husbands Elmer and Dick, her daughter Kathy, her grandson Rusty, and her son-in-law Dan Baisch.
A memorial service will be held for Della on January 31st at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Toppenish.
