Debra Nava

July 8, 1958 — June 18, 2023

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Debra "Debbie" Nava on June 18, 2023, her loving family was by her side. Debbie was born on July 8, 1958 in Kittitas, Washington to Clemente and Rosie Morales. Growing up with one sister and three brothers, she was the second oldest of five children. Debbie's greatest joy was her family. She was happiest when her house was full and her family was together, she was adventurous and loved to take trips, she wouldn't hesitate to invite herself along if the vacation sounded fun. Her laughter was contagious, she loved to listen to music and would stop and say, 'oh I love this song' and break into a dance. When she danced, she made the best facial expressions. Debbie truly lived every day to the fullest, she saw the best in everyone and always made sure you knew just how special and loved you were. She was great listener, had the purest heart and was so much fun to be around. She never parted ways without a hug and an "I love you babe". The majority of Debbie's career was in healthcare, with the past decade at Yakama Indian Health Service in Toppenish. Debbie loved caring for her patients and their families. She also loved her work family and took pride in the strong bonds and friendships they developed. She loved their morning walks, Thursday lunches, endless selfies and snapchat videos. She loved sharing both her workdays and her life with all of them. Debbie is survived by her husband Manuel Nava, who was her best friend and the love of her life, children Celia Nava, Mario (Josie) Nava and Andrew (Melanie) Ozuna. Her grandchildren Alyssa (Anthony) Alvarez, Anthony, Armando, Alonzo, Simeon, Jacob, Cruz, Sofia and her newest addition, great granddaughter Elise. Brothers Clemente "Harry" (Teresa), Eucebio "Son", Tony and sister Corina. Welcoming her with open arms as she entered into heaven were her parents Clemente and Rosie Morales and grandson Nathan Saiz along with crowds of friends and family. Visitation will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato on Friday June 23rd from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato on Saturday June 24th from 9:00am - 11:00am. Celebration of Life luncheon immediately after service. Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love, support and prayers. It truly is remarkable to see how much our mother was loved.
