Deanna Schwendiman

Deanna C. Schwendiman was born to Linda Murphy (Robert Chick) on August 10th, 1970, and raised by Linda, and Deanna’s adoptive father Lorne Rafn, in Los Angeles, California. She passed away August 2nd, 2022 in Yakima, Washington after a courageous battle with cancer. Deanna was a devout Christian and was very active with the Seventh Day Adventist church, giving her time to volunteer at the church’s food bank on Tuesdays. She was very social and had a bubbly personality that had an impact on all who were around her. She loved to spend time with family and friends, filling afternoons with cards and board games over coffee. She also loved her cats and they were always a great comfort to her. She was preceded in death by her brother Vince Rafn, and is survived by her mother Linda Hurd (Dale), brother Brian Rafn (Felisa), brother Dane Rafn (Jennifer), and sister Gretchen Bartz (Carl), and multiple nieces and nephews who she loved very much and treated them like her own children. Deanna’s Celebration of Life will be held on September 4th at 2:00 pm at the 35th avenue Seventh Day Adventist Church with a meal following, graciously provided by the church members. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the church at the time of service.
