David O Suarez Sr., of Wapato, WA passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Landmark Care Center in Yakima, WA. David was born February 2, 1939 in Pueblo de Oriente, Nuevo León, Mexico to Valentin and Guadalupe Suarez.
On June 15, 1957, he married Tomasa Zuniga in Toppenish, WA and settled in Wapato, WA in 1962. They celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary this past Saturday.
David worked as a farm labor in the Yakima Valley for more than 40 years before retiring to spend time with his wife, children and grandkids.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his grandkids throughout Washington State.
David is survived by his wife, Tomasa Suarez of Wapato, WA, his son David Suarez Jr. and wife Elvira Suarez of Yakima, WA. His two daughters, Maria Isabel Ibarra and husband, Pedro Ibarra of Madera, California and Gloria Suarez of Weslaco, Texas; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and two brothers, Mario and Florentino Suarez of Texas and three sisters, Esperanza Gonzales of Othello, WA, Adelina Pruneda of Pueblo de Oriente, Nuevo León, Mexico and Evangelina Castillo of Madera, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Valentin and Guadalupe Suarez and his brothers, Samuel and Pablo Suarez.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019, from 3:00pm - 8:00 pm (rosary at 6:00 pm) at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, WA. Mass of christian burial will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 10:00 am at St Peter Catholic Church in Wapato, WA with the burial to follow at the Reservation Community Memorial Park in Wapato, WA.
