Early morning Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. Jesus reached out his hand to Dad to guide him the rest of the way home.
David Mobley was born on April 5, 1933, in Colusa, CA to Dorothy and Floyd Mobley. Adventurous lad, he was always escaping the yard one way or another to explore the world around him and all it had to offer.
During his teen years the family moved to Wapato, where he met the love of his life, Esther. They were married in 1952, working together to build a home and family, thru dad serving time in the Army during the Korean Conflict that took them to California and Alaska and back to Wapato where they raised two kids and countless cats, dogs, other assorted animals and yards full of beautiful flowers and tasty veggies.
Retiring from Moorman's Manufacturing after 31 years, David kept busy installing and repairing phone booths (remember those?), helping his friends with apple harvest, meeting his buddies down at the Wolf Den for breakfast every mornin, being very active in his church and hunting and fishing!
David is survived by his sisters and brothers, Ruth Brown, Alice Wickstrom, Ralph (Paulette) Mobley, Earl (Judy) Mobley. Children Larry (Judy) Mobley, Kay (David) Ramsey-Warner. Grandkids Nikki, Tristan, Derrick, Andrew, Jacob, Benjamin. Seven great grandkids and his faithful companion Samantha Too.
Service will be held on Saturday, Jan 18, 2020, 11 a.m., at Harrah Assembly of God Church (3681 Harrah Road, Harrah, WA 98933) with pot luck following.
