Obituary

Daphne Lou (Griffith) Dunsworth born on November 20,1947 in Yakima, WA passed away at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital on Friday January 16, 2026. Daphne was born at Memorial Hospital and where she lost her long battle with Cancer.

 Daphne leaves behind her constant companion Lucky (aka rat on stilts according to daughter Tina) her baby (dog).

 Daphne was preceded in death by her husband Vernon C. Dunsworth II, son Arthur George Dunsworth, parents Charles and Pauline (Hoar) Griffith, brother John Paul Griffith, nephew Dominic Paul Dexter, several Aunts and Uncles.

 Daphne is survived by daughter Tina and Thornas (favorite son-in-law) Etherington of Yakima, son Vernon and Stephanie Dunsworth of Yakima, sister Jo-an Griffith of Yakima, brother Wayne and Elaine Griffith of Yakima, nieces Jodi Anderson of Yakima, Terri and Doug Lamb of Yakima, several great nieces and nephews, grandsons Aaron Etherington of Yakima, Sean and Cheyenne Etherington of Selah, granddaughters Haylee Dunsworth of Yakima, Alayna Dunsworth of Yakima, Kenzy Dunsworth of Yakima, great grandsons Tiberius Etherington of Selah, Maximus Etherington of Selah, aunt Norma Saunders of Morton, WA, nephew and nieces, adopted son's Charles (CDub) and Meladie Stearns of Yakima, John And Sam Girard of Yakima.

 Daphne graduated from AC Davis High School in 1966. Daphne did many things over the years from being a nursing assistant to manager in retail. Daphne enjoyed spending time with Sharon Richards (a friend since 7th grade), playing cards with sister Jo-an and daughter-in-law Stephanie. Daphne especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Daphne loved to read, play games on her tablet, plan trips with her sister, go to the casino. The family will be holding a celebration of life for Daphne in the spring/summer time (her favorite time of the year).
