Daniel Hart

Daniel James Hart. 65, died Saturday, August 13, in Sunnyside. He was born Sept. 1, 1950 in Oregon City, Ore. He was the son of Harold Keith and Margarette Jo Ann Hart of Mabton. He was a graduate of Mabton High School and attended Yakima Valley College. He married Julia Abercrombie of Goldendale on June 6, 1973. They had two children – Rebecca Ann and Sarah Elizabeth . He married Josie (Pina) Hart in October 8, 2012. Dan was known as a hard worker having learned to be a farmer along side his father. He was a volunteer fireman, served on the Mabton City Council and more recently served as president of the Sunnyside Eagle Aerie 2927, where he also served as a trustee. He survived by his daughters Rebecca (Nick) Sustaita and Sarah Hart, all of Sunnyside; grandchildren Veronica (Andy) Galvan of Sunnyside; Elizabeth Sustaita of Melbourne, Australia and Sam Sustaita of Sunnyside. Plus two great-grandchildren – Andie Jo and Eva Lynn Galvan of SunnysideHe is also survived by five sisters and their families: Randle (Jim) Sharpe of Richland, Kiley (Brendon) Warren, Cody and Ashlyn Warren, and John Sharpe; Billie (Bruce) Miller of Tygh Valley, Ore., Christine Miller and Cody, Megan and Jackson; Jannette (Dale) Smith of Prosser, Shane (Miranda) Smith, and Kayden; Samantha (Jordan Hopper; Michelle (Rex ) Dilbeck of Grandview, Stacey (Dana) Sveum and Avery and Katherine; and Carol (Dennis ) Schnell of West Richland, Dylan Keith Hart and Jordyn AnnMarie Schnell. He is preceded in death by his wife, Josie Hart, his parents Harold Keith Hart, Margarette Jo Ann Hart, and a number of uncles and aunts. Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday August 18, 2016 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside followed by graveside services at the Mabton City Cemetery. A reception will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside following graveside services.
