Cristoval Ramirez Jr., beloved father and family anchor, was born on April 7, 1960, and passed away on February 5, 2026, in his home, at peace and in prayer, held in the love of his family.

Cristoval was born to Cristoval Ramirez and Paula Garza Ramirez in Mercedes, Texas. In 1963, he moved with his family to Sunnyside, Washington, where he made his home until the time of his death. Cristoval spent much of his working life as a truck driver, working for a various companies over the years. He carried his strong values with him wherever he went – Faith responsibility and a deep commitment to providing for his family. Cristoval was the proud father of Karina Bazaldua, Paula Ramirez, Janie Ramirez, Eron Ramirez, Rosa Ramirez, Moses C. Ramirez, Angelica Saldana, and Cristoval Ramirez III. He was a tough father in the truest sense of the word, not one to give handouts, but always willing to give a hand up. He believed in strength, responsibility, and earning one’s way, values that shaped his children into the capable and successful adults they are today.

With Cristoval having many sons and daughters, it only meant getting the complete package and having grandchildren as well! His memories will forever impact and live among his grandchildren: Noah Bazaldua; Liliana Gomez; Aidan Gomez; Isabella Prokopenko-Ramirez; Janie Banducci; Ondrea Banducci; Vance Banducci; Tessa E. Clark; Genevieve S. Ramirez; Cecilio T. Ramirez; Oliver R. Ramirez; David C. Ramirez; Marlon S. Ramirez; and Ezra Ramirez.Cristoval is survived by his siblings: Janie Anciso and her husband Ray Anciso; Tony Garcia and his wife Gloria; Ray Ramirez and his wife Maggie; and Armando Ramirez. He is also survived by a large number of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many people whom Cristoval loved very much.

Cristoval now joins his late father, Cristoval Ramirez; his late mother, Paula Garza Ramirez; and his late brother, Rene G. Ramirez.Cristoval had a sharp sense of humor and loved to tease his children as if they were his siblings, creating laughter and resilience in equal measure. He showed up consistently and fully for life’s celebrations: birthdays, graduations, and every gathering that mattered. His presence was steady, familiar, and dependable.Above all, Cristoval deeply loved Jesus Christ, and his faith was a constant foundation in his life. He was a congregational member of New Hope Church of Sunnyside alongside his late mother, Paula Garza Ramirez.
