Colleen Hill

On Tuesday evening June 20th, Colleen Ann Hill moved to her Heavenly Home. She was a Godly woman who loved her Lord and Savior. Colleen was born in Toppenish WA, on December 13th 1946, to Carl and Clara Hill. She attended school in Toppenish WA. She met, and later married Jerry Kneff in 1964. They made their home in Kennewick where they had two sons, who were the joy of her life. In 1975 they relocated back to Toppenish where Colleen worked with her sister Carla at their parents restaurant the 49er. She was very active in the Shepard Haven Church. She was compassionate and caring, and also a great cook! After 32 years of marriage, Colleen and Jerry parted ways and she started a new chapter in her life. Colleen worked various jobs until a medical condition affected her mobility. She then moved into Avamere Assisted living where she lived for several years. While at Avamere Colleen wrote a small paperback book. She liked to give these books to people who needed some encouragement. Christmas was her favorite time of year! Mom always had to have her Christmas Tree up for a couple of months. She was just like a kid opening gifts at Christmas. Colleen had a contagious laugh that would get everyone going. One of our fondest memories of her was at a family reunion fund raising auction. Mom would raise her hand to bid on an item, the auctioneer would ask for the next bid, and mom would bid again, she just kept outbidding herself. In 2021, She had to be moved to Good Samaritan Nursing Home, her final home. This did not stop mom from going out! She had her electric wheel chair and dial a ride, and boy she would go! Colleen loved all of her care givers, staff and hairdresser. She also had some wonderful roommates during her stay. Our Family would like to extend our thanks to everyone at Good Samaritan for the wonderful care you gave our mom. Colleen is survived by her sons Brian and (Karen) Kneff of Yakima, Gary and (Kathy) Kneff of Selah, Her Grandchildren, Sharaya Kneff, Beau Kneff, Michelle and (Mathew) Sevigny, Jenna and (Patrick) Flumerfelt: Great grandchildren: Taylor, Emma and Oliver Sevigny. Sister: Carla Hibbs of Naches, as well as many nieces and nephews that she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Clara Hill, Former Husband Jerry Kneff, and Brother in Law Tom Hibbs.
