A hard working and dedicated family man left this life on May 23, 2019. Born Oct. 12, 1927 in Copeland, Arkansas, Cliff was the 5th of 12 children. He married Dorothy Whorton on Dec. 4, 1948 and together they shared 62 years of marriage before her passing in 2010. They spent their lives working side by side farming, working in the cotton fields, and picking fruit. They moved to Yakima in 1952 and raised their sons. Cliff worked for Lloyd Garretson and before getting a job with Yakima Mfg. where he retired after 30 years. He loved to hunt & fish with his boys. Working in his garden, where he could grow anything and everything was his pride and joy. Cliff is survived by his sons, Jack (Su) Bixler and Cecil (Joanne) Bixler, two sisters, Velma Riddle of Yakima, Virginia Smith of Mississippi; grandchildren Steve (Carrie) Bixler, Randy Bixler, Heather (James) Burdge, Joe (Trina) Bixler, Elizabeth (Charles) Cox, Jenna (Mark) Miller and John (Bri) Bixler. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren. Cliff loved his family and was a diligent and generous provider. He will be missed; but has joined his beloved Dorothy for eternity. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, May 31st at 10:00am at Memorial Bible Church in Gleed, (111 Old Stage Way, Yakima, WA 98908)
