Clara Force

YAKIMA - Clara Ann Force, 79, of Seattle, passed away on August 14, 2013 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. She was born to Christian Hoerner and Gertrude Skalsky on August 22, 1933 in Glen Ullin, ND. She was married to James C. Chilson. They divorced and later she married John E. Force. She worked for Nordstrom’s, and Lucky Store as a teller and for Seattle Children’s Hospital. She was also a loving homemaker. Clara enjoyed reading, walking, collecting Tweety Bird memorabilia and other collectables, volunteering, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Douglas Chilson of Yakima and Ralph Force of Englewood, CO; daughters, Charleen (Larry) Gerdom of Wenatchee, WA, Lynn Hubbard of Aldie, VA, and Brenda (Jason) Wong of Manassas, VA; brother, James (Patricia) Hoerner of Yakima; sisters, Byrdeen Thompson and Lucille Hoerner, both of Yakima; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and James; her parents; her brothers, Lawrence and Ralph; her sisters, Adele, Viola, Pauline, and Genieva; and her ex-husbands, James C.
