Eventually they would both move to Washington state in 1963 and settle in Brownstown, Washington and worked for Wes Mitford Farm. Shortly thereafter they would move to Harrah, Washington and worked for Willie Riel Ranch for many years. Mom would work in agriculture type of work for many years throughout the valley which we would eventually call home. Throughout the years of working in agriculture mom would develop many relationships that would eventually become lifelong friendships. Many of them would be frequent callers from far to near.
Mom was a devoted to her faith as a Catholic which started in St. Aloysius church for many years.
In 1974 mom and dad build the current home where she would live out her last days.
1985 mom had a major heart attack which eventually retired her from agriculture work. She would devote herself to caring for our father primarily and the raising of her beloved nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. All the while she maintained a restaurant type of service making each and everyone their personnel preference of meals. She prided herself in the care and upbringing of them. Mom kitchen was always a place where there was no lack of food and this was her special way of showing that she loved you! Mom would develop many hobbies that kept her busy for instance the indoor and outdoor plants. Knitting was another of her last passions which she would even be working on projects while on dialysis. Mom was not just an ordinary person she was a trooper overcoming multiple events that kept her family thinking, “another miracle.”
The family would like to thank Virginia Mason Hospital of Seattle where mom spent three weeks recovering from the stroke. In addition, the family would like to thank Virginia Mason Memorial hospice for making her as comfortable during her last days. Lastly the families who were mostly offering prayers for her recovery.
