Cecil J. Reimer 56, left this world on January 30th 2015; he had his family and friends by his side during a fast battle.
He was born on July 7, 1958 in Wenatchee Washington to Bill and Mae Reimer.
When Cecil was growing up he was taught many things by his father, he was taught how to be a handy man and how to recycle many things.
While in high school Cecil excelled at electronics and audio- visual. Cecil was very gifted in electronics; it was his calling. Cecil graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1976. After high school, Cecil went to Wenatchee Valley Community College for a little while, while he was working in construction. In 1979 Cecil went to Phoenix, Arizona to attend DeVry Technical Institute to get his degree in electronics by 1980.
In the winter of 1978 Cecil proposed to the love of his life, Debbie Jordan. On September 29, 1979 they became Mr. and Mrs. Cecil John Reimer. In 1980 they moved back to Wenatchee from Phoenix, Arizona, where Cecil then went to work for Bobs Radio and TV.
In 1983 they had a son named Michael John Reimer, in the same year Cecil moved his family to Moses Lake where he worked for the TV store. In February of 1984 Cecil moved his family to Yakima to work for Stereo First by Bemis, where he worked for 29 years as a stereo technician and an installer of custom home theaters.
In 1992 their little girl, Marti K. Reimer, was born. Cecil enjoyed going camping, going to the ocean, walking the beach, and sand dollar hunting. He loved lighthouses and enjoyed the structure of them too. He also enjoyed building model cars, and working on his cars and trucks throughout his life.
Cecil enjoyed taking his family shooting and teaching them about guns. Cecil liked to do wood working; he would make tables, chairs, and other furniture for family and friends. He liked to be outside rather than inside. Cecil loved going to Leavenworth for the Christmas lighting, it was a family tradition. He enjoyed every family get together and playing with his grandchildren. Cecil was married to his loving wife, Debbie, for 35 wonderful years.
The survivors of Cecil J. Reimer are his wife Debbie Reimer of Yakima, his son Michael (Miranda) Reimer of Yakima, his daughter Marti K. Reimer of Yakima, his mother Mae Reimer of Wenatchee, his grandchildren Kaleb, Hailey, Kolbey, Timothy, Jackson, Madilynn and Clayton of Yakima. He is also survived by his younger brother, Jake (Rita) Reimer, and nephews, David and Nick, of Wenatchee. Cecil had a very special extended family of Benjamin, Daytra, Allen, and Jeff; and many other people.
The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 7th, at 1:00PM at the Valley Hills Funeral Home (2600 Business Lane, Yakima), followed by a potluck reception at Terrace Heights Grange (3701 W Birchfield Rd., Yakima), to which all are invited. Valley Hills Funeral Home is caring for the family.
He will be greatly missed and the
years we had could have never been enough.
