Cary Bill Brown 58 of Yakima passed away very unexpectedly at Virginia Mason Memorial in the early hours of Oct. 21, 2018. He was born on Oct. 24, 1959 in Idaho Falls, ID to Owen and MarDean Brown. He attended East Valley High School. In his younger years he spent a lot of time with his brother working on cars and getting into a lot of trouble together. He held various jobs over the years driving truck locally for different fruit packing plants (Snokist & Matson) and long haul (S&C Transport & Northwest Transport). When he became disabled it allowed him to spend countless hours with his sons and granddaughter and playing WOW with Mary and friends. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking his Blazer off road and camping. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his selflessness and compassion, putting others before himself and his sarcastic sense of humor. He would say,, “Love the people God gave you because he’s going to need them back someday,” or “What’s meant to be will always find a way.”
He was preceded in death by his parents and two children Jonathan and Debi. Survivors include his wife Mary Byers; two sons Tyler and Christian Brown; stepson Matt Ketzenberg; step granddaughter Isabella Ketzenberg; mother-in-law Carolyn Norton; four sisters: Sheryl Kelly (Bill), LindaKay Brown, Karen Brown, and Sandy Brown (Rudy); brother and sister-in-law Brad & Barbara Brown and many nieces and nephews.
