Carolyn Hope Onessimo passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2024 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with osteosarcoma.
Cara-Boo was born on May 13, 2009 to Valerie Onessimo in Yakima, WA. She began her education at Heritage Learning center and enrolled in Wapato. Cara was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in February of 2022, she then had to relocate to Seattle to the Ronald McDonald House to begin treatment, it was hard for Cara to be away from home, she missed her sisters and gramma and wanted to come home every chance she could. Cara was amazing. You couldn’t help but feel happy when you were with her, even when she wasn’t feeling good she wanted to make sure that her family was ok. Cara was very active as a young child; she was always playing with her sisters and cousins and getting into mischief. She was so good at getting out of trouble, giving her sad eyes so that none of us could get after her. She attended Campbell Farm with her sisters and cousins, and took various trips with her mom and gramma to Montana to visit her aunties. Cara was a recipient of the Going Gold from Karlee’s Koffee, Make-a-wish and various programs. Cara loved playing Roblox, coloring and playing board games with her family. She was a collector of Squishmallows, Care Bear and anything My Melody and Hello Kitty. She loved watching movies and Dance Moms with her sister. You could never find Cara without a stash of candy. Our girl had a sweet tooth. She loved her sour candies and barbecue chips, there was always her big cup of ice water, milk or orange juice.
Carolyn is survived by her mother Valerie, her sisters Emily, Savannah and Sophia “Gussie”, her niece Bella and nephew Ernie. Her Gramma Rhonda, grand-uncle Ralph and Grand-aunt Roxane.
