Carol Margaret (Miller) Donaldson, age 98, died May 21, 2018. She was born December 25, 1919 in Zillah to Fred T. and Margaret Miller.
Raised in Zillah, she graduated ZHS in 1937. On July 6, 1938, she married Russell “Tuffy” Donaldson. In April, 1945, he was drafted into the Army, and upon his return in May 1946 they moved to Yakima.
Their first son, Ronald, was born in 1947, and Kenneth was born in 1953. Carol and Tuffy were very active in their boys’ athletics and band boosters PTA and scouts.
Carol was also a fine knitter who taught a number of folks knitting.
She was in pinochle clubs, and the couple enjoyed their camper and boat, travelling to lakes with their “gang” to fish.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Clarence, and many friends she made over the years.
She is survived by sons Ron (Lo) of Yakima and Ken (Terri) of Wasila, Ak. She also has 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
